Why convert PPM to DDS?
Use DDS when your next application needs texture tools accepting uncompressed DDS data. PPM represents RGB pixels in a simple portable pixmap structure, typically with much less compression than common web formats.
The converter decodes the PPM image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes DDS output. This exporter writes uncompressed RGBA8 DDS data, not BC7/BC3/ETC2 block-compressed GPU textures.
