Why convert DDS to JPG?
Use JPG when your next application needs sharing photographs and compatibility with older image applications. DDS can carry GPU-friendly texture formats, but this converter supports uncompressed DDS input, not arbitrary BC1/BC7 or other compressed textures.
The converter decodes the DDS image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes JPG output. JPEG suits photos and broadly compatible uploads, but it uses lossy compression and cannot store transparency.

- Only the DDS variants supported by the local decoder can be opened; many block-compressed game textures are not supported.
