Why convert SVG to GIF?

Use GIF when your next application needs compatibility with software requiring indexed GIF files. SVG can describe resolution-independent vector shapes; exporting it as raster pixels fixes the output at a chosen width and height.

The converter decodes the SVG image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes GIF output. GIF limits each frame to a 256-color palette, so gradients and photographs may show banding; a single input image becomes a static GIF, not an animation.

Before you download

  • A raster export does not retain editable SVG vector paths; choose the output dimensions before converting.
  • The GIF encoder uses a limited color palette; gradients can look less smooth than in PNG or WebP.

  1. 1

Select a local file or enter your input.

  2. 2

Choose the available options and run the tool.

  3. 3
