Why convert SVG to DDS?
Use DDS when your next application needs texture tools accepting uncompressed DDS data. SVG can describe resolution-independent vector shapes; exporting it as raster pixels fixes the output at a chosen width and height.
The converter decodes the SVG image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes DDS output. This exporter writes uncompressed RGBA8 DDS data, not BC7/BC3/ETC2 block-compressed GPU textures.
Before you download
- A raster export does not retain editable SVG vector paths; choose the output dimensions before converting.
- The result is an uncompressed texture file. It does not provide BC7, BC3, DXT or ETC2 GPU compression.
