Why convert ICO to DDS?
Use DDS when your next application needs texture tools accepting uncompressed DDS data. ICO icon files can contain several image sizes; the browser and decoder determine which embedded image is used.
The converter decodes the ICO image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes DDS output. This exporter writes uncompressed RGBA8 DDS data, not BC7/BC3/ETC2 block-compressed GPU textures.
