Why convert DDS to BMP?
Use BMP when your next application needs legacy image software and straightforward pixel exchange. DDS can carry GPU-friendly texture formats, but this converter supports uncompressed DDS input, not arbitrary BC1/BC7 or other compressed textures.
The converter decodes the DDS image, applies your selected size or appearance adjustments, and writes BMP output. BMP provides simple raster pixel storage but usually creates larger files than web-oriented image formats.

- Only the DDS variants supported by the local decoder can be opened; many block-compressed game textures are not supported.
